Hawfinch?? (1 Viewer)

Not a juvenile - they would just look like the adults now - but a female (duller colours, smaller black bib). It does look a bit pale, but I think that's down to the light on a sunny day (and maybe a little computer editing too?)

I've seen a few hawfinches in Switzerland... they are more approachable than their British cousins. Unlike the robins which were quite elusive.
 
Thanks for the info, folks... like most birds, if it ain't a pristine male, I start to struggle!
