Bird of prey in Mumbai (1 Viewer)

Dear All

I am very sorry that this post is so vague. I was recently in Mumbai in Western India and noted large numbers of an eagle like bird soaring in the city. Does anyone know the species name; it was extremely common in the city? The bird is present in large numbers everyday. On asking the locals they simply called it 'eagle.' I would say it was about the size of a golden eagle.

Thank you.

Black Kite (Milvus Milgrans) Look out for the forked tail.

Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus) The adult has a white head and breast

Best wishes
