New local patch - Baxter's Harbor, Nova Scotia (1 Viewer)

Last Fall we bought a cabin on a half-acre piece of wooded slope overlooking the Bay of Fundy at Baxter's Harbor, Nova Scotia, about 20 minutes from our house in Kentville, in the Annapolis Valley. Behind us is an area of mixed woods, logging trails, and alder patches. In the last few weeks I've been exploring here, and have discovered a hitherto un-birded area that has proved just great for wandering around and birding. The list for the last 2 weeks is -

Some of these (e.g. Winter Wren, Mourning Warbler) are present in decent numbers, and are species normally quite hard to find. Unfortunately there are other critters, including Skunks, and my dog Toby (below) was squirted by one last week, and still stinks, despite several sessions with special shampoos, sprays and tomato juice. Anyway, I'll update people during Fall if they're interested.
