Augur Buzzard (Buteo augur)

I think this may be a misidentification. It looks very much like Buteo augur (Augur Buzzard). Note the short tail and dark eye.
 
I agree about it being Buteo augur (only after looking at images of it on Google!).

Excellent pictures of yours on that pbase site, well worth a look anyone!
 
I think you are both correct.Just looked it up in Sinclair and Ryan and it is a juvenile Augur Buzzard.Many apologies-not doing too well on my I.D.s at the moment!

It is, in fact, Buteo augur. Someone had already linked it as H. spilogaster and I unlinked and put it under B. augur.
