Scarlet Darter Dorset (2 Viewers)

Just be aware if you are travelling over that way from the East. The M27 is closed in Southampton area this weekend, and the diversions look hellish. Maybe go "over the top", via A303 to avoid that area if you are heading there.

Is it just closed at the weekend? I may be heading for Hampshire soon (maybe tomorrow) and a trip to Titchfield is usually good, but the M27 is part of my route from Petersfield.

Yes, just this weekend. Where we live is now a closed motorway to the south, and the A roads surrounding the village all blocked with motorway traffic, and it's only 8am!
Definitely go via Andover, Salisbury and Ringwood. Could take in a Stone Curlew, and Blashford Lakes;)

Apologies for turning the thread into a traffic bulletin, but if it saves 1 person a 2 hour traffic jam, then it's worth it. Scarlet Darters are beautiful, only seen them in France, where they seem to be fairly easy to catch up with, at least as far North as the central regions.
