Two Birdforum members are seeking one or 2 more participants for a confirmed trip to Northern Ecuador, commencing 6 July 2018. The start date is unfortunately fixed, though 9 or 15-day itineraries possible. An excellent local guide has been engaged for the trip, and costs are very reasonable (and should become more reasonable with additional participants). 9 days – USD1500. 15-days – USD 2400.
Potential goodies on the target list include up to 35 Choco endemics, Rufous-bellied Seedsnipe, Torrent Duck, displaying Imperial Snipe, lots of Antpittas (including Bicoloured and Crescent-faced), Tanager Finch, Long-wattled Unbrellabird, Purplish-mantled Tanager, Oilbird, condors, Sunbittern, Andean Cock-of-rock, Chestnut-bellied Cotinga, Brown Wood-rail, San Isidro Owl, quetzals, the most phenomenal array of hummingbirds and bagfulls of tanager species to mention but a few. There is likely to be a very long trip list! Surely this is the ultimate introduction to birding on the South American continent! (see attached itinerary for details)
Please PM me if you are interested or have questions.
