Pale bird, Isle of Skye, UK (1 Viewer)

I saw this pale bird at Camastianavaig on the Isle of Skye in June 2013, and have no clue as to what it might be. It was about the size of a greenfinch; its flight was straight (not sinusoidal like a finch); it spent quite a lot of time in the grass, where it moved by hopping. Any idea what it might be?
