Peru, Manu Rd boat trips in May (1 Viewer)

Myself and Steve Preddy have a Peru trip booked for May and it includes a fairly standard run down the Manu Rd. We have various boats booked including the transfers below, but also some birding excursions on the river between 15th and 22nd. This is to ask if anyone might be out there around that time, and be interested in sharing these 3 transfers, i.e. sharing costs as well…? Be warned, they are quite expensive.

15/5/20 After staying at Cock Of The Rock Lodge, board at Atalaya and head to the Amazonia Lodge (only 20 min)

18/5/20 Boat to Manu Wildlife Center birding along the way

22/5/20 Boat to Puerto Maldonado

If anyone might be interested, please can you send me a private message and we can get into detail, including costs.

Cheers,
Andy

If it helps to reduce costs: you shouldn’t go all the way to Puerto maldonado with the boat. There is a place midway somewhere halfway between your last lodge and puerto maldonado where you can reach the main highway after disembarking. This will normally save time and money. You would need a car or any other vehicle in any way to take you on that last part.

Like Temmie says. You arrange the boat to Boca Colorado only, and then continue with car. There are plenty of vehicles willing to take you.
You may have to change vehicle after a river crossing on the way.
