From WORCESTER BIRDING......

Upper Bittell Reservoir: RED-RUMPED SWALLOW perched on wires by public footpath in north fields then flew off at 8.24am (Gavin and Francis Peplow) and no further sign in area by mid-morning. Also Osprey still this morning (Gavin and Francis Peplow) then flew off NW at 10am (Chris Thomson).

Red-Rumped Swallow apparently roosted last night. Could easily still be in the area with it being so difficult to pick up on the wing amongst the many other Swallows and S.Martins. Maybe worth a visit early morning to check out this roost...

Some from early this morning....

Within the approximate time of a month, Lower has played host to a variety of Wading Birds:
Common Sandpiper, Green Sandpiper, LR-Plovers, Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Redshank, Snipe and Dunlin (that I'm aware of) all of which have occurred in various small numbers.
With water levels low, hopefully we can add some more to the list in the coming weeks....
