Just read this properly - Large Tort is a bit of a mega I suspect but they can and do turn up (or get released) from time to time in the UK. I think they are now considered extinct in the UK as a breeding species but I might be wrong.:t:

Hi Dave,

None of these affect the summary stats table but I thought I'd post them anyway for the record as they are either first dates/max count for each patch:

16/04 - 2 Sedge Warblers
18/04 - 2 Whitethroat

Gwen Finch
16/04 - 1 Sedge Warbler

18/04 - 1 Common Whitethroat

Bredon Hill
18/04 - 1 Female Ring Ouzel (2 females seen at different times - may have been the same bird)

Great stuff, Si.

I'm interested in any sightings for any site, not just the county firsts so your summary of your local sightings is perfect.

Cheers:t:

Today

Lesser Whitethroat at Camp lane Pits this morning, decent number of House Martins joining the Hirundine frenzy now, single Sedge Warbler.

7 Yellow Wagtails on plough near Mustow Green, along with 3 Wheatears, one ♂ of which was distinctly larger and darker suggesting possible leucorhoa

At Upton Warren today, a small influx of whitethroats at Moors (3),2 cuckoos, also more sedge and reed warblers at Flashes since 26th April.
