I think we missed this one, having looked at a lot of Glaucous Gulls over the preceding days - at Grundafjordur on 31st March.

Am I right in thinking Iceland?

It looks very short-winged and whilst its not unknown for me to get these wrong, it looks like a small Glaucous Gull to me

Thanks Jane. I fancy the bill for Glaucous too, but the head shape got me wondering about Iceland. I've seen plenty of both and have much better pics of both too but it's always intriguing when you see something in a photo that you didn't notice in the field (mainly due to laziness, I expect).

If it's Glaucous then at least we won't need to change the title.
