Agree with the ID but I wouldn't say that Siskin is that rare in the region. Over the last three days I've seen 4 in Alhambra (Granada) and another in Malaga.

Agreed. Siskins are only irregular during winters, in some years you have lots, but on some you don't get them at all.
I'd say Serin is abundant, not just common, it must be one of the 10 most numerous breeding species and its song is part of the winter (from Jan) and spring "soundscape".
