HX100-V Settings (1 Viewer)

I just got at HX100V and trying to get some pictures and how to use the camera in general. Currently have the local Hummers around, Broadtails, the Rufi's headed south last week. It appears so far that my best setting seems to be in the program mode, center weighted focusing and the contrast set on plus. Does anyone have better suggestions? I'm getting decent pictures in the shade at 1/100s, F5.6, ISO 800. I obviously get a lot of wing motion at this shutter speed.
