Lots of Common Crossbills in Thetford Forest, England this winter, but no real signs of breeding behaviour as yet apart from the odd bit of song. Too cold maybe? Anybody out there with breeding happening?

We are still seeing small flocks of Crossbills here in the Cheviots. We normally see fledged young in mid to late February.
