How small can a small pond be? (1 Viewer)

I'd like to make a wildlife pond in the garden, we haven't got much room.
Would a small pond about 3 feet x 4 feet by 2 1/2 feet deep be worth doing?
Or would it just become a stagnant puddle?
I'd like to attract Frogs & Newts.
Any thoughts wuld be welcome.
Cheers

The dimensions are are OK to get and retain frogs and newts but I would make it deeper, sloping to a depth of 4 feet if possible. The deeper it is the less likely it is to freeze to the bottom....which which is fatal to most animal life.

Good luck.
