Help with Backyard Songbird Identification (1 Viewer)

I live in the Kansas City area, and for the last few summers have heard a distinct songbird call but haven't been able to visually id the bird. The call is a 3-note call that sounds like a high recorder or penny whistle, and it's 3 pitches La------Sol-Mi Sometimes La--sol-fa mostly a minor 3rd. it's a very high clear song that's whistled- no 'words' associated with the call as far as I can tell. Can anyone direct me to what bird might be making this call? I'd like to find a picture of it so that I can start looking for it. Thanks!

JLR, actually if you post this request on the ID forum (with location in the title), you may get some more help there! This is ringing a bell with me, but I can't say off hand - sorry.
