Managed to catch this little chap on a tomato leaf yesterday whilst trying out my new macro lens.

Any help with id would be greatly appreciated as it’s driving me round the twist squinting at google images :)

Many thanks in advance.

Excellent image - I wish my shots of bees were half as good!

Thanks for the compliment. I reckon I probably keep 1 in 30 macro shots purely due to focus and such a narrow depth of field.

Try keeping the subject perpendicular to the camera axis. I find that improved my “keep rate” no end.
