73) Red-Legged Partridge
74) Coal Tit

Late this afternoon after work, I went to a local lake to see what was around. Due to the extremely cold temperatures we've had lately, almost all of the lake was frozen, but there was enough open water for a few ducks. I added one bird to my Year List, which is now at 74.

74. Common Merganser

Dave

After struggling into work today, only to be told that they would be shutting early because of the snow, I decided to call in at Cheddar Reservoir to try for the Ring necked duck.
Turned out to be a good day after all.

51 Red Crested Pochard (male and female)
52 Ring Necked Duck

I saw my first Bullfinch's back in the summer. Saw my first flock (about 20 of them) in the snow today, what an awesome sight! :)

On my drive back to Baltimore after the holidays:

48. Red-winged Blackbird (at NJ rest stop)
49. Fish Crow (MD)

Amazing our group missed those two on a CT CBC, right??? The wind was NUTS! Haven't gone birding yet since I got down here. I'll go out this weekend.

One from two days ago - been too busy of late :smoke:

34: Feral Pigeon

Getting a bit bored with being snowed in in Alnwick :C SO frustrating having the coast so close but not being able to reach it because there's no way my car will get through the untreated roads :-C
