White bluebells (1 Viewer)

Discovered these on my walk this morning. As far as I can ascertain, there are two varieties of white bluebells, unpigmented bluebells and a Spanish immigrant. Anyone know which these are? They were growing among normal bluebells. Beautiful flowers.

Shouldn't they be called 'White Bells'.......;)

They are lovely, I was going to take my Russian wife to see them this year until Covid happened, will have to wait until next year now I guess.

I believe the yellow stamen on the white bluebell indicates it is a white flowered version of the native species. I understand that Spanish bluebells have blue stamens. Although, I guess the lack of pigment in the petals could have the same effect on the stamen!

Spanish Bluebells are rather rare in the wild over here. What is usually reported as them is the vigorous hybrid, Hyacinthoides x massartiana.
