Have you checked out Ergorests? they are a similar gadget but cost around £50.00 so a bit cheaper

I use an Ergorest with a gimbal head and it holds my 500 f4 without a problem, I was surprised how stable the set up is, the attached pheasant was shot at 700mm, 1/60s, F/5.6, ISO800. If any of you are planning to buy one, you better hurry because the Ergorest is going out of production according to the 7dayshop website referenced below.:
