Hummingbirds in Florida (1 Viewer)

Hi All,
I'm fairly new to this forum and just returned to FL from a summer in Massachusettes.
I live on the west coast of FL - Sarasota/Bradenton and was wondering if there are hummingbirds in this area at this time and would it be worth it to put out some feeders.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

Yes, there are hummingbirds in Florida year around. If you put feeders you are bound to attract a few to your yard. The majority are Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and they will be more numerous during migration and Spring/Summer. A small number of RTHs spend the winter in Florida when they are joined by even smaller numbers of Black-chinned and Rufous Hummingbirds. An interesting site dedicated to Florida's hummingbirds (also has a discussion forum) is
http://floridahummingbirds.net/ .
