B&L Discover 7x35 vs Swift 804 hr/5? (1 Viewer)

Ok, I am looking at some classic older porros.

1) B&L Discoverer 7x35
2)Swift 804 hr/5

So, how do these 2 models compare? Which is sharper? Better field of view? comfort? Build quality?

I've read the discoverers are basically a Zephyr with FMC.

I can pick up either for about the same price....But found both online so I can't test first....

I have a couple b&L spotters and they're both very good. (ED77 and a 60mm HDR) I realize that may not mean much of course here.

I've also owned a couple pairs of Swift Ultralite 8x32's and I found them generally to my liking as well.

So, what is the better bin? the B&L or the Swift?

Direct comparisons are going to be difficult, as they're quite different beasts - a lightweight 7x35 compared to a full size 8.5x. It really depends if you want or need one configuration more than the other...

BTW - how similar are the Discoverers to Zephyrs optically? Maybe Steve C or someone more familiar with the range could chip in? Granted, they look similar, but looks don't tell the whole story...
