If I saw this bird in Europe, I would probably think "what a strange sanderling". But this being on the Pacific coast in Central America, I'm not sure what to make out of it. Calidris mauri/pusilla? Or in fact a Sanderling?

Location: Pacific Ocean coast of Golfo Dulce in Zancudo, south-eastern Costa Rica
