Feathers from a murder scene (1 Viewer)

These were picked up under a Buzzard nest in a forest in Belarus a couple of years ago.

We were told that the buzzard had been killed by an Eagle Owl, are these all Buzzard feathers?

Yes, all are from Buzzard. The middle tail feather is from a juvenile.

Just out of curiosity Andy, why do you use the term"murder"? Seems odd to me.

... as in a crime scene with 'evidence' (feathers) remaining and a mystery to be solved ...



Probably more straightforward than the average Poirot or Sooty Tern case though
