Hi,

taken at Frances Short Pond near Thorpe Park, Flagstaff.

Is this a type of sparrow or a pine siskin?

any help would be much appreciated!

I agree with Jon - very pointy bill, bold striping, and I see just a hint of yellow down near the tail. Pine Siskin.
