Hi Maypole Birder. You must have been around Lifford at pretty much the same time as me yesterday.
The two Little Grebe were still present yesterday morning, in addition to the species on your list. I recorded 40 species around the reservoir and the nearby canals, a good start to the year on that patch.
My final 2020 total for Lifford and environs was 62 species, up from 57 the previous year. Less frequent visits through the spring due to Lockdown 1, but my knowledge of when and where to find species on the patch is increasing every year.
New species recorded in 2020 - Little Grebe, Common Gull, Common Sandpiper, Goosander.
