Id of invader from bird seed (1 Viewer)

This plant came in with last years bird seed, about a metre tall and flower spike not yet out, probably due to not enough sun. First thoughts on this plant, may be Hydrophyllaceae – possibly a Phacelia, but which one.
Thanks in advance,
John

I agree with aeshna5. Get rid of it quickly. A highly allergenic plant! Clear it out with the roots (and every part, even the smallest leaf) and throw it in the bin (not on the compost).

If this plant is indeed a ragweed, I agree with wintibird, you'll definitely want to remove it as quickly as possible. Ragweed allergies are very common and you don't want to risk finding out if you indeed have them yourself. Make sure to remove a good size dirt ball all around the roots, as it may have dropped seeds that may begin to grow in the future. Good luck, and thanks for the vigilance wintibird!
