Just registered for patchwork challenge...looking through the list it seems the RN Grebe scores less than the RB Shrike...and anyone spotting the bird on line 286 is guaranteed to win...along with world-wide celebrity status!

Lapwing c400, Redshank, Greylag 35 in fields, Raven 2, Snipe, Kestrel, G C Grebe 6 Sailing Pool
Also 29 Shoveler and 100 Teal on the reserve

nice quality photos of the GWE Gents, down for flashes roost again Buzzard, Sparrowhawk, kes, lapwing 450c Curlew 12, Redshank, Green sand 2, BHG 100c, LBBG 3(flew over) only ducks shoveler and mallard,(no Teal) Canada and Greylay on farm all very quiet.
