Please help ID - red bird in Missouri

Today I saw a bird I’ve never seen before. I live in Missouri. I saw the bird on my fence, near my feeders. It was a larger bird, about the size of a cardinal. It was brilliant red in the body, with darker, possibly grayish wings. It had a gray head with what looked like no feathers at all. Thanks!

Try doing a Google image search for "bald cardinal" and see if the pictures don't look like your bird.
