Help my Mourning Doves! (1 Viewer)

Hi, I need some info on how to help my mourning doves. There is this one mating pair that always nests on my roof. I love this, but their egg always falls off! :egghead: The place the nest always is, looks like this:

But the board is thin, so the egg falls leaving the poor mourning doves... well, mourning! Also, I think the egg is blue! What is this doing there? HELP!

Mourning (and other) Doves always built such pathetic nests that I'm amazed any eggs ever survive to hatch! You could try providing them with a small basket. We did this once with a small Easter basket in San Francisco and the Doves used it.
