Hummingbirds in Slow Motion (1 Viewer)

It sure is one beautiful image of this beautiful jewel.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but wondered if these might be of interest....

We went to Costa Rica earlier this year and saw several types of hummingbird; the most common of which was the Rufous-ta

We visited La Paz Waterfall gardens where they had feeders. We went on a Sunday when all the locals were visiting. It was very crowded and lots of shadows and then bright light - extremely challenging.

This should be a Scaly-breasted

Followed by by a Violet Sabrewing almost in flight

Amazing to watch and hell to photograph successfully.

We also had a sight of a Volcano Hummingbird on dark and misty day. I do have a static record shot but it is best left unseen!

Lovely still image fisheyeadventures, as well as colincurry.

Hummers! I love it when the conditions come together for fun photos...the Anna's in a nearby wildlife area have moments where they are very cooperative for non-flapping photos. But the real joy is when they are sitting there on a branch but also whirring away or preening...
