Just opened my latest copy of BTO News to be informed of the fact that Chris Packham has recently been appointed BTO Vice President.
The article cites his ability to "raise the profile of the Trust's work", and that he "understands the importance of getting people involved in scientific research".
Chris mentions his delight with his new appointment and goes on to say "Everyone can help safeguard the future of our birds by making sure that decisions affecting their environment are based on sound unbiased science. Birdwatchers make an enormous contribution to our knowledge of bird populations in this country and it is through the BTO that the biggest contribution are made."
Are we likely to see some RSPB vs BTO banter when Packham and Humble next get together on our screens?
