Bewick's Swans with neck collars (1 Viewer)

If you see any Bewick's Swans over the Christmas period, keep an eye out for birds with yellow neck collars. Birds with numbers between 925A and 936A are of particular interest.

These birds also all have GPS loggers, and information from these can be downloaded remotely by bluetooth. The batteries will run out early in 2008 though, so the research team are very keen to find the remaining five birds from the original 12 that with loggers.

If you do see one, get in touch with the team as soon as possible and they'll try to download the data (they need to be within 400m of the bird to do this). Contact details are in the pdf attached.
