I saw my first sand martin of the year yesterday. Is this early or normal ?

Pretty much normal I'd say,been quite a few reports of them this last few days they are usually one of the first migrants to arrive along with Chiff Chaffs and wheatears.

I agree with Adam. Pretty much normal time for the first arrivals.

If anything ours are a little late compared to some years. I dare say the odd one will pop up in the next day or two.
