Cornell Guide to Bird Sounds (North America) (1 Viewer)

Great that Macaulay Library is offering its services for the public!

Just a note - 4938 bird recordings should be manageable for modern software - I have no problem with iTunes and 10100 recordings on my rather standard laptop.

Waiting for collections on some tropical countries and mammals - where the real hole on the market is.

Sounds interesting.

Just for completeness, a few years ago I obtained a three CD set with recordings of eastern caribbean species that came from Maculay library.

So, reading the blurb: I take it that North America here is defined as north of the Mexican border, not north of the isthmus of Tehuantepec?

Niels, I think that's the case with most US popular birding literature (eg field guides etc) – presumably Mexico is considered to be within Middle America.
