Crazy numbers of Firecrest at Dungeness atm. 100+

Certainly a high count for Dunge but how unusual is this nationally?

101 on 26th was a spring site record count and that was eclipsed this morning with a count of 120! I would imagine it could easily be a national spring record count. And there are a quite a few ater Coal Tits turning up as well which are often associated with movements of Firecrest e.g 14 at South Foreland today.

Perhaps a Short-toed Treecreeper is on the cards?

These Firecrests at Dungeness, are they likely to be incomming birds or birds that have wintered here?

Thanks.

Steve.
