This is the first usable photo I have ever taken of a bird so high up. I'm wondering if this is a red tailed hawk and if it's possible to even ID it from this angle at all? The sounds it made were AMAZING!! There were 3 circling above but this is the best I could do with what I had. Thanks! :t:

Nice shot! It is indeed a Red Tail, as you suspect.
Several Red Tail markers on this bird, staring with the red tail, plus the dark bars on the wing leading edges by the body, plus the belly band.
