Unkn Snake - Shaw NR Missouri USA (1 Viewer)

Hiking the Wildflower Trail in the Shaw NR on 12 July at 10am or so.

Rounded a bend on a bluff on the edge of the Meramec River flood plain located between oak-hickory woodland and a long lush glade. Sighted the tail as it slithered into the bush.

Thinking a Black Kingsnake, Black Rat Snake, Racer....???....could use some help with the ID.
