Tuesday, November 19:

A flock of 60+ SNOW GEESE was sighted today heading north over Nanoose Bay.

The solitary BLUE JAY remains a visitor to feeders at 175 McConvey Road, on Gabriola Island.

The SNOW GOOSE at Buttertubs Marsh in Nanaimo is still hanging out with the Mallards and American Wigeon.

Two AMERICAN DIPPERS were seen at the mouth of Millstone River in Nanaimo.

Monday November 18:

An ANNA’S HUMMINGBIRD is coming to feeders at the 3800 block of Sutil Road in Campbell River.

Sunday November 17:

Highlights of the Sunday bird walk to the Little Qualicum River Estuary, in north Qualicum Beach, were thousands of BONAPART’S GULLS, one GLAUCOUS GULL, twenty-five BALD EAGLES, and twenty-four TRUMPETER SWANS.

Friday November 15:

A GREAT-HORNED OWL was seen in the 4200 block of Clubhouse Drive in Nanaimo.

An OSPREY was reported at the 72 mile bridge along the Cowichan River.

Two ANNA’S HUMMINGBIRDS are coming to feeders on the 2800 block of Country Club Drive in Nanaimo.

A white albino DARK-EYED JUNCO was seen with a flock of DARK-EYED JUNCOS today coming to a yard in Lantzville.

Thursday November 14:

20 to 30 CALIFORNIA QUAIL are coming to feeders in the 6600 block of Valley View Drive in Nanaimo.

A male and female ANNA’S HUMMINGBIRD are coming to feeders in the 4200 block of Clubhouse Drive in Nanaimo.
