Here we go again: same rules as always:

Any bird seen or heard from your house or garden/yard.

Good luck all.

Mods: Sticky Me please!

You can all get an advantage on me for the next three days as I'm away at work during daylight hours.

Happy New Year.

All the best

Happy new year to everyone and good luck for this year.

I didn't get Brambling last year so nice to get one on the first day.
Two Muntjac,a field vole, Rabbit and Grey squirrel were the mammals, nothing as stunning as that ermine Stoat though.

Happy New Year everybody. Didn't get out until 4:15p.m.--forgot that I told myself that I was going to do a BF Yard List and 2017 List. Got dark too fast and I had a few people stop me to talk because I had bins and a camera--so not a very productive list. This from the old folks complex, Leisure World, Seal Beach, California.
American White Pelican
House Finch
Allen's Hummingbird
European Starling
Cassin's Kingbird
Anna's Hummingbird
Ring-billed Gull
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Yellow-Rumped Warbler
Mourning Dove
Had some Gulls and a duck fly over when it was too dark for me to ID.

Two more for me today.
18 Kestrel and
19 Song Thrush

Will it be another year of the tortoise and the hare Dad?! You are racing away from me at the moment.
January 1st:
1. Red-breasted Nuthatch
2. Black-capped Chickadee
3. White-breasted Nuthatch
4. Downy Woodpecker
5. Hairy Woodpecker
6. American Goldfinch
7. Blue Jay

and added 8. Pileated Woodpecker today.

I hit the dizzying heights of 15 last January, so have a fair few weeks to go before I catch up with you!

If balcony counts;

Common Buzzard
Common Wood Pigeon
Carrion Crow
Great Egret a first for this species from the balcony and on the 1st
Common Magpie
European Blue Tit
Great Tit
Grey Heron
