Is this just a Grass Snake? Taken in Lesvos/Lesbos Greece.

Probably. Although I do wonder about maybe Balkan Whip Snake.

Thanks for the ID help....and I agree no such thing as just a Grass Snake...I guess I was just being too casual. Have a look at the Grass Snake under the animals heading at http://www.robinchittenden.co.uk. I'd dearly love to get near to some tame ones in the UK...for photography

Can't offer you 'tame ones' Robin, but I do know a good site near Ipswich if you had down the A140 sometime.
