Tawny pipit? desert Farm, Oman (1 Viewer)

I suppose this must be a tawny pipit. The 3 birds near it were.

I can't recall a pipit with a (even small) raised crest before.

Confirmation please.

Sure is. All bird species have the ability to raise/lower their crown feathers - and other feather tracts for that matter - according to mood/temperature/situation and other external factors.
