The new Meopta Meopro 80 HD (1 Viewer)

The new Meopta Meopro 80 HD ist now avaible in Germany, i don`t know if it`s the same in other countries.

Has anyone layed his hand on it and can say something about it ?

The Meopta chap at the Bird Fair reckoned it was very good (he would wouldn't he), but wasn't quite up to the excellence of the MeoStar 82 HD.

There are rumors that the 80 HD was developed for the military market to be sold at volume and the 82 HD was for the civilian birding market.
The 80 HD is cheaper and not quite the equal of the 82 HD.
Many military observation devices these days are electo-optical so the market is shrinking, Zeiss 72 HD not withstanding (sniper spotter market is a whole different thing).
