Sorry about the quality. From the garden yesterday and wondered if it might be Syrphus ribesii?

Now have Insects of Great Britain and Ireland by Brock which is amazing; but provides me with even more options to get wrong

I think it's a Sphaerophoria sp.

Agree; female Sphaerophoria sp. and thus not possible to take to species.
