Canon T3i(600D)/ZenRay Ed2
Hey guys, first time post on here. There is a lot of knowledgable people with cameras and optics.
Right now I have a Canon SX210IS and a non-HD Swarovski 80mm spotter. I also have a Vortex adapter. It takes ok pictures, but not really what I want, lots of shake, no remote...
I have decided to buy a DSLR, specificly a Canon T3i, for taking better photos. I also haul a spottign scope around was hoping to be able to use it for pictures and video through the spotter. I have read some about its video zoom feature. I think this would be a benefit running video through a big spotter at long distances. It is supposed to help in low light situations (perfect for a spotting scope). I am not a birder, but I do take lots of wildlife photos. I would also enjoy taking video of larger animals over 1000yards close to 1mi. I have decided to lose my 32x optical zoom (nonHD)camcorder to make room in my pack to the T3I. I have seen some videos of different setups taking video at very long distances, but not specificly what I want to try. I have aslo seen some videos of normal distance, using the T3i's zoom feature. It looks like it would work out very well.
I'm looking for input form anybody using a Canon EOS, hopefully T3i with the video zoom feature. I was also looking for input form any EOS used attaching to a spotter, waht type of adapter you used; spotter to body if if you are using a lense and if it is a 50mnm prime. I was also hoping to talk to someone using a ZenRay ED2 spotting scope for digiscoping, and what adapter you are running. I was looking at the Swarovski DCA, because of the similarities. I have wanted to give the Zen ED2 a try, after reading reviews.
Thanks in advance!
