RFI Thailand: Kaeng Krachan & Khao Sok (1 Viewer)

Hanno

Ho Ho Ho
Dear all,

Just decided to take myself and the Missus to Thailand end of May. I'll be spending three days at Kaeng Krachan and Khao Sok (and two days shopping in Bangkok, bribe to my better half to drag along with me, those two days will probably cost me more than the rest of the trip, but it is a small prize to pay8-P ) Digressing here, back to the original request: Has anybody been there, what should I look out for, etc., etc.? I will be with a guide in both places, with Paddleasia and Wildwatch Thailand, but would still like as much information as possible.

Can't wait, as I've never birded in Thailand before (apart from Soi Cowboy, but I suppose that doesn't count), and apparently the birds are just fabulous and much more approachable than here in Vietnam.

Cheers,

Hanno

Can't help Hanno, but how lucky you are! Have a wonderful time and bring us back a story of exciting birding.

Just in case you miss our current newest member, we have just been joined by Sumate Bhlapibu, who resides in Thailand (Bangkok). Maybe a pm will help you get some local knowledge.
