Hi all,

Today we saw a jackdaw with just a single red colour ring. It did not even have a metal ring. Illegal / unregistered project?
Does anyone know who might be doing this? We'd still like to report it and CRbirding did not offer any insights.

Thanks!

It's odd isn't it? I have seen 2 Canada Geese and at least one Mallard locally here in North Devon with single blue rings. No-one had a clue!

Wasn't there something a while back about an animal rescue centre putting colour rings on birds? Maybe something similar?
