Just to let people know this seems to be a nice birding area in NW Iowa. I was looking for a "birdy" place, and was impressed with the diversity of birds, even in July. It has a good variety of habitats - prairie, lake, marsh, and oak forest.

I had a little trouble finding the path, which is directly behind the park building - not really hard to find, but not clearly signed. I found out about it initially from this NW Iowa birds website: http://www.watchablewildlifenwia.org/sites-KettlesonsHB.htm
