Here we are again! as much as I try I can't fix this sparrow. The yellow lores give me the impression that this might be a white-throated sparrow, is it a juvenile it doesn't seem as bright as others I have seen?
Taken in the wood area at the back of CMBO.

Sorry, think this is another White-throated, one of the tan striped jobbies. Keep looking for that Savannah, it's out there somewhere.

It is an adult White-throated Sparrow. As Sibley notes, adults range from drabber "tan-striped" to "white-striped." Savannah Sparrow you will typically find in open grasslands; White-throated is typically found in wooded areas, as here.
 
This was our first time in the US, so we had no history of identifying some species. We have two sparrows in the UK, life is easy. I think it was the brown head stripes that caused me doubt.
You have got to love this site.
