Zeiss 8x56 Technical Considerations - by Zeiss (1 Viewer)

I recently came across an article by Walter Besenmatter of Zeiss. It dates from the introduction of the 8x56 Victory (the pre-FL version) in 2000. It contains both historical and technical information - with the latter being from from an optical designer's point of view.

I’ve also attached:
- a clearer version of the cross-section image of the 8x56 models (per Allbinos 8x56 Victory FL review: https://www.allbinos.com/177-binoculars_review-Carl_Zeiss_Victory_8x56_T*_FL.html );
- a cutaway view of the 8x56 Victory FL, which dates from 2006 (it specifically refers to the objective construction), and;
- a 2006 brochure for the x56 FL models (the 8x56 now being 200 mm OL and 1220 g).
